With its covered terrace, this intimate restaurant enjoys stunning views of the sea across Orphelinat Bay. With burgundy leather seats, stone floors and wooden tables, the simple, welcoming décor is reminiscent of many French bistros. The generously-stocked wine cellar, visible from the dining room through a glass wall, is definitely worth investigating: from Bordeaux to Burgundy, the Loire Valley and Champagne, it's full of truly great wine.
A typically-French menu is the perfect complement, featuring dishes such as ravioles de Royan, homemade foie gras, beautifully crusted beef in red wine, and duck breast. There's plenty of New Caledonian produce on offer too, with crab gratin, tuna tartare and a flaky shrimp tart all staples on the menu. Three daily specials and one dessert are the cherry on top of this tempting array of dishes. If you're finding it hard to choose, then the friendly and efficient staff will be happy to help!
